Welcome to the Protein Modules Community (PMC) webpages!

Mission Statement

The PMC promote the study of proteins, motifs and modular protein domains, molecular pathways and signaling networks in cell regulation, health and disease.  We embrace the  development of new experimental and computational tools and approaches for studying protein-based systems in biology, communicating  new research findings in this area to the broader scientific and biomedical communities, and training the next generation of scientists in the field of protein- and protein module-based mechanistic biology.

The PMC is an international community with pure scientific goals, coordinating offices in North America and Europe, and with the specific aim of promoting and disseminating scientific knowledge concerning the structure and function of protein modules. It organizes and participates in congresses, conferences, workshops and presentations, and is also involved in the publication of books, periodicals and other media. This website is intended for the free exchange of ideas and comments and for the development of the protein module field.
